About Oasis
More part of the Brit Pop movement and less so of the Madchester group of bands, Oasis was perhaps the most successful of any of the bands that were part of the British pop-rock revival of the 90s. Formed in Manchester in 1991, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher and fellow members of Oasis reached the top of the UK charts with eight singles, a large number compared to other Britpop bands, also because Oasis managed to release as many as six albums over the years.
